Following too closely is one of the main causes of rear-end collisions and is even more dangerous in bad weather conditions. Many drivers underestimate the amount of time needed to stop safely.

How it Works

HMW monitors the distance (measured in seconds) from the vehicle ahead when that time is 2.5 seconds or less, and issues an alert if the distance is below or equal to a pre-defined threshold.
